A 14 day tour designed for senior secondary students of Business, Economics and Legal Studies. Students will have the opportunity to connect classroom theory to real-life case studies. The overlap between the three subject areas means the visits will be of relevance to most students. Learn about the family dynasties who influenced the growth of the US economy and witness their legacy left in the skyline of New York. Visit the national capital to see money made and visit the arms of government. Tour the UN to learn about international law and business and speak directly to successful business leaders.
Summary itinerary and highlights
- Day 1: Depart Australia.
- Days 2-5: New York. Visit Grand Central Station and the Rockefeller Center. Tour Wall Street. Guided tour of the United Nations. Meet with a successful business and learn their tricks of the trade.
- Days 6-7: Washington DC. See Capitol Hill, the White House and the World Bank. Visit the International Monetary Fund for a briefing and the US Bureau of Engraving and Printing to see money being printed.
- Days 8-11: San Francisco. Tour the Financial District and the Federal Reserve Bank. Visit Silicon Valley and the Intel Museum.
- Day 12-15: Depart, on flight and arrive Australia.
