Summary itinerary and highlights

The itinerary begins in London, where the group will meet before travelling to the literary centres of Oxford and Bath.
An in-depth exploration of Shakespeare in his home town of Stratford-upon-Avon is then followed by time in the stunning Lake District, walking in the footsteps of the Romantic Poets.
The impact of industrialisation and class conflict on English literature is then addressed in visits to the Brontës’ village of Haworth and the city of Stoke-on-Trent.
The tour concludes with three days in London, investigating the influence this unique city has had on England’s literary tradition.
There will also be the opportunity to experience theatre and performance influenced by the great authors and poets.
